Patriots earn FMU Academic Awards

Three Francis Marion University senior student-athletes were honored as the university recently presented its annual Academic Awards.

Senior women's cross country and track and field athlete Emma Driggers was presented the Duane P. Myers Award, given to the top student in FMU's prestigious honors program.  The Mauldin, S.C., native also received the Moden Language Award and the History Award.

Senior women's soccer midfielder Sierra Cartano earned both the Finance Award from the School of Business and the Mathematics Award.  Cartano is a native of Raleigh, N.C.

Senior baseball pitcher Austin Moody, a native of Dillon, S.C., was presented the Eileen Kirley-Tallon Political Science Award.
